About Us

The African Youths Tush Awards (formerly called All Youths Tush Awards) was conceived early 2008 by Engr. ‘Dayo Oyeniran after publishing the third edition of a defunct campus magazine, De Pearl Magazine, while still a student of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State. The first edition was held at The Kolarintz Suites, Ogbomoso December 2009 with two tertiary institutions participating (LAUTECH and Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo).

Ten editions later, we have grown to become an all youths brand rewarding exemplary lifestyle for ages up to 35 years old. Our count of nominees over the last decade average:

  • Over 12,000 Student Nominees
  • Over 3,200 Youth Nominees

At the 5th edition of the awards, (Tush Awards 2013), we created the Role Model Award Category which recognizes “youthful souls” of 35 years to 60 years who are positive role models to the youths of our society. We have had 9 notable people in the society receive this award.

Popular Comedian, Mr. Aletile Oluwaseyi Lawrence (Seyilaw) is the only Nigerian to be inducted into the Tush Awards Hall of Fame since inception. He won the Best Youth Comedian for four (4) years consecutively at the 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 editions of the awards.
